1: Veer (2010)
Directed by Anil Sharma, Veer was set in the 19th century and featured a grand narrative of love and war. With a hefty budget of ₹55 crore, it only managed to collect ₹45.56 crore at the box office. Co-starring Zarine Khan and Jackie Shroff, the film was criticized for its weak screenplay and over-the-top drama.
2: Yuvvraaj (2008)
Subhash Ghai’s Yuvvraaj starred Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anil Kapoor. Despite its musical score by A.R. Rahman, the film’s convoluted plot and lackluster script led to its downfall. With a budget of ₹48 crore, it grossed only ₹31.22 crore.

3: London Dreams (2009)
Directed by Vipul Shah, London Dreams featured Ajay Devgn and Asin alongside Salman Khan. The film’s narrative about a rock band failed to resonate with audiences, earning ₹41.31 crore against a ₹45 crore budget. Critics pointed out its predictable storyline as a major flaw.
4: Marigold (2007)
In Marigold, directed by Willard Carroll, Salman Khan starred opposite Ali Larter. The Indo-American production aimed at a cross-cultural romance but fell flat with both critics and audiences. With a ₹19 crore, it earned a mere ₹2.29 crore.
5: Suryavanshi (1992)
Rakesh Kumar’s Suryavanshi featured Salman Khan in a mythological role. The film only earned ₹1.5 crore. The movie was heavily panned for its outdated special effects and weak storyline.
6: Jaagruti (1993)
Directed by Suresh Krishna, Jaagruti starred Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor. The action drama, grossed only ₹2.5 crore. Critics cited its clichéd plot and lack of innovation as reasons for its failure.
7: Phir Milenge (2004)
Revathi’s Phir Milenge, featuring Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, and Abhishek Bachchan, dealt with the sensitive topic of HIV. Despite its noble intentions, the film failed commercially, earning ₹5.43 crore against a ₹5.5 crore budget. Its slow pace and preachy tone were criticized.
8: Chandramukhi (1993)
This movie, directed by Debaloy Dey, starred Salman Khan and Sridevi. With a budget of ₹2 crore, it grossed ₹1.5 crore. The film’s lack of coherent plot and weak character development contributed to its poor performance.
9: Yeh Majhdhaar (1996)
Esmaeel Shroff’s Yeh Majhdhaar featured Salman Khan, Manisha Koirala, and Rahul Roy. The romantic drama’s budget of ₹1.5 crore did not translate into box office success, earning only ₹49.68 lakh. Its slow narrative and lack of engaging elements were criticized.
10: Khamoshi: The Musical (1996)
Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Khamoshi starred Salman Khan and Manisha Koirala. Despite its critical acclaim, the film failed commercially, earning ₹5 crore against a ₹6 crore budget. Audiences found its pace too slow, and it did not cater to the mainstream taste.
