“Udaan” is a coming-of-age drama that follows the story of Rohan, played by Rajat Barmecha, a teenage boy who is expelled from boarding school and forced to return home to his oppressive father, Bhairav, portrayed by Ronit Roy. Upon his return, Rohan discovers that his father expects him to follow in his footsteps and work in the family’s industrial business. However, Rohan dreams of pursuing his passion for writing and refuses to conform to his father’s expectations. Despite facing resistance and abuse from Bhairav, Rohan finds solace in his friendship with his younger half-brother, Arjun, played by Aayan Boradia, and his supportive uncle, Jimmy, portrayed by Ram Kapoor.

As Rohan struggles to assert his independence and pursue his dreams, the film explores themes of freedom, self-discovery, and the complexities of familial relationships. With the help of his friends and mentors, Rohan confronts his father and fights to break free from the constraints imposed upon him, ultimately finding the courage to pursue his own path and soar towards his aspirations like the “Udaan” (flight) of a bird.
