Poltergeist Plot Summary:
In “Poltergeist,” horror movie the Freeling family lives in a seemingly idyllic suburban home in California. Strange and inexplicable occurrences begin to happen, starting with objects moving on their own and mysterious voices coming from the television set. Their youngest daughter, Carol Anne, starts communicating with unseen entities through the TV static. As the paranormal activity intensifies, the family seeks help from paranormal investigators and a psychic medium named Tangina Barrons, who reveals that their house is built on a burial ground, and Carol Anne is being held captive by malevolent spirits.
The Freeling family races against time to rescue Carol Anne from the clutches of the poltergeists. They confront terrifying manifestations, including a monstrous tree and a portal to the afterlife in their own home. In a climactic showdown, they manage to retrieve Carol Anne from the other side and escape the haunted house. However, their ordeal is far from over as they realize that the spirits have followed them, leaving the audience with a chilling sense of unresolved horror.
