Paraguayan-born swimmer Luana Alonso started representing her second home in international competition and the Youth Olympic Games, catching everyone’s attention. At the same time, her career was interrupted in 2024 when she became mired in scandal over accusations of misconduct at Paris Olympics. The incident was widely publicised and ended her professional swimming career inmediately.
