1Sushant Singh Rajput (1986-2020)

In 2020 Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death sent shockwaves throughout India. He played a variety of roles in films such as “Kai Po Che,” “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” and “Chhichhore.” He was not only an actor but also an inspiration to many people around him. His demise at the age 34 remains one among the saddest tragedies that ever befell the Hindi movie industry.

2Jiah Khan (1988-2013)

Jiah Khan had made her debut in 2007 opposite Amitabh Bachchan within the film “Nishabd.” Though she had a brief career span, her performances in “Ghajini” and “Housefull” left an enduring impression on audiences. Her death at 25 years old was a heartbreaking incident which plunged her fans into deep grief.

3Divya Bharti (1974-1993)

During early 90s Divya Bharti was among promising young actresses’ crop in Bollywood then. She delivered hits like Deewana, Shola Aur Shabnam, Dil Ka Kya Kasoor etc., and was poised for stardom when tragedy struck her life aged just 19 years under mysterious circumstances.

4Madhubala (1933–1969)

Madhubala personified ethereal beauty and delivered stellar performances in classics such as Mughal-e-Azam, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and Barsaat Ki Raat. Her career was indeed illustrious but sadly it ended with her demise due to prolonged illness at 36 years old.

5Smita Patil (1955-1986)

Smita Patil won accolades for powerful acting in movies like Bhumika, Arth and Chakra. She was a leading light of parallel cinema movement but died young aged only 31 years because of complications arising from childbirth which left big vacuum behind within film industry.

6Taruni Sachdev (1998-2012)

Taruni Sachdev acted commercials besides appearing Paa among other films that showcased her immense talent as child artiste with bright future ahead until tragic death aged just 14 years old when plane crashed Nepal taking down all onboard which remains one most painful moments Bollywood has ever experienced.

7Soundarya (1972–2004)

Soundarya had established herself as one of the top heroines in South Indian movies and also made notable appearances in Bollywood including Suryavansham. 8Geeta Bali (1930-1965)

Geeta Bali starred opposite Guru Dutt Baazi, Albela, Vachan among others during vibrant acting career spanning from fifties through sixties; unfortunately she succumbed smallpox attack when only 34 years old leaving behind rich legacy films where her lively screen presence coupled with unmatched talent will always be remembered.

9Parveen Babi (1949-2005)

Parveen Babi was a synonymous name of Bollywood. She used to be prominent for her glamorous acts and daring roles in movies such as “Amar Akbar Anthony,” “Namak Halaal,” and “Deewar” but this star passed away at 55 after having long been out of sight because of mental illness that made everyone say she was gone too soon.

10Meena Kumari (1933-1972)

Meena Kumari is still known by the title “Tragedy Queen” in Bollywood. Her splendid performances in movies like “Pakeezah,” “Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam,” and “Mere Apne” were greatly appreciated by the audience, however she died young at 38 due to liver cirrhosis thus leaving behind only sad memories of great acting talents.
